The Fashion Ghana Honors and Awards is an annual award that recognizes people making change and contributing positively to the Ghanaian Fashion Industry. This year’s award show was held at CFAO Ghana Showroom at Airport City. The title sponsor for this show was Makari De Suisse. There were other brands like Glenfiddich and Mercedes Benz.
As early as 6 pm, guests started trooping in. The range of fashion brands guests donned was a spectacle to behold. There was the red-carpet session with free photography where anyone could grace and ask for a nice shot.
There was also a drink bar where most of the drinks were free. The ambience before the show started was that of class, style and excellence.
The main event started at 8 pm with an electrifying music performance by AJ (he sang Beautifully by Fave and his own song by Obi ba), the atmosphere was charged and people were singing in synchrony.
The event hosts were Kalybos and Nikki Samonas, they were all looking great in their wear and honoured the colour of the occasion “a touch of pink”.
There was a crack-a-rib session where the comedian Augustine Dennis made jokes about most Ghanaian parents naming their kids with foreign names and his observation about mad men in Ghana vs those in the diaspora.
After this session, the host Nikki Samonas and Kalybos zoomed into mentioning names of nominees in various categories; Calling dignitaries present to name the respective winners (which was given to them in a sealed envelope as they mounted the stage) and handover their prize-a golden designed African plaque with excellent inscriptions.

There were other honorary awards that was given in recognition to feats achieved by people in the Ghanaian fashion industry.
The event ended in a joyous mood as Verony performed an Acapella of her soon to be released music single.
