July is here, and Netflix clearly said: “You thought you were going outside? Cute.”
This month’s watchlist is looking packed — mystery, romance, limited series, thrillers, returning favourites, and the kind of emotionally chaotic titles that make you say, “Let me just watch one episode,” before suddenly realising it is 2:13 a.m. and you have work in the morning.
From Enola Holmes 3, which has already dropped, to Death on the Nile, The Map of Longing, Ransom Canyon Season 2, Spooky in Love, Final Project, Ladies in Black, and 72 Hours, July 2026 is giving us options. Too many options, honestly, but we are not complaining.
Here’s what is on my Netflix watchlist this July.
Already Streaming: Enola Holmes 3
First on the list is Enola Holmes 3, which arrived on Netflix on July 1.
At this point, Enola has earned her place as one of Netflix’s most fun young heroines. She is clever, stubborn, stylish, brave, and just chaotic enough to keep things interesting. The third film brings back Millie Bobby Brown as Enola Holmes, with Henry Cavill also returning as Sherlock Holmes. The July release has been highlighted in several Netflix roundups as one of the month’s major titles.
The Enola Holmes films are perfect when you want mystery without feeling like you are sitting for an exam. It is detective work, but with charm. Drama, but not too heavy. A little romance, a little danger, and a heroine who knows exactly how to carry a story.
This is already streaming, so naturally, it goes first.
Death on the Nile — July 15
Coming on July 15, Death on the Nile is for the murder mystery girls.
You know the formula: rich people, beautiful location, expensive clothes, suspicious glances, and one murder that makes everyone suddenly start acting like they did not just spend the whole trip lying. Perfect.
This is the kind of film you watch when you want glamour with your crime. It gives dinner-party tension, luxury holidays gone wrong, and “everyone is a suspect” energy. Also, there is something very satisfying about watching a mystery unfold when the setting is this polished. The chaos looks better when everyone is dressed well.
Love You So Bad — July 16
On July 16, Love You So Bad joined the watchlist.
The title alone is enough to make me curious. It sounds like a messy romance. It sounds like someone is about to make a terrible emotional decision and then call it love. It sounds like late-night texting, unresolved feelings, and a relationship that probably should have ended three conversations ago.
And honestly? Sometimes that is exactly the kind of romance we want to watch.
This feels like one for viewers who enjoy love stories with drama, longing, heartbreak, and possibly a soundtrack that does too much emotional labour. I’ll be watching to see whether it gives soft romance or full chaos. Either way, I’m seated.
The Map of Longing — July 17
Also arriving on July 17 is The Map of Longing, a limited series.
I love a limited series because it usually means the story has somewhere to go and no time to waste. The title sounds poetic, emotional, and slightly painful — which, unfortunately, is exactly my weakness.
The Map of Longing feels like the kind of show that will deal with memory, grief, love, distance, regret, or all of the above. It sounds like one of those series where people stare out of windows, read old letters, and slowly realise they have been avoiding the truth for years.
Basically: emotional damage, but make it beautiful.
Desire — July 17
Desire arrives on July 17, and this one already sounds dangerous.
Netflix July roundups list Desire among the month’s releases, and the title suggests grown-up drama: temptation, secrets, bad choices, and consequences waiting quietly in the corner.
This is not the type of title that screams “healthy communication.” It sounds more like a story where everyone knows better, nobody acts better, and the audience is left whispering, “Don’t do it,” while absolutely hoping they do it.
Add it to the list for a Friday night when you want something intense.
Spooky in Love — Episodes Begin July 18
On July 18, Spooky in Love starts releasing episodes.
A spooky romance? Yes. Immediately yes.
This sounds like one for K-drama lovers, supernatural-romance fans, and anyone who likes their love stories with a little ghostly inconvenience. I’m expecting strange timing, dramatic reveals, someone pretending not to be scared, and at least one scene where romance and paranormal confusion collide beautifully.
Sometimes love is complicated because of distance. Sometimes it is complicated because of family. And sometimes, apparently, it is complicated because of ghosts. We support range.
Elize: Shadows of a Woman — July 22
Coming on July 22, Elize: Shadows of a Woman sounds like one of the more intriguing titles of the month.
The title gives psychological drama. It gives secrets. It gives a woman with a past, a mirror she does not want to look into, and maybe a life that is not as stable as it appears.
This is one I would watch for mood. If it leans into character study, identity, trauma, or mystery, it could easily become one of those underrated July titles people discover quietly and then start recommending like, “No, seriously, you need to watch this.”
Ransom Canyon Season 2 — July 23
Now this is for the romance-with-landscape people.
Ransom Canyon Season 2 arrives on July 23, and the romantic western drama is officially one of Netflix’s returning shows for the month. The series is based on Jodi Thomas’s books and premiered in 2025 before being renewed for a second season. (Wikipedia)
If you like sweeping scenery, complicated families, unresolved feelings, and people having emotional conversations while pretending they are only talking about land, this is your show.
Season 2 should bring more romance, more tension, more ranch drama, and more of that “I have loved you for years but will now communicate it terribly” energy.
Naturally, I’ll be watching.
Love in Slow Motion — July 23
Also coming on July 23 is Love in Slow Motion.
This sounds like the softer romantic pick of the month. Not every love story needs to be explosive. Some are about timing. Some are about healing. Some are about learning that love does not always arrive loudly; sometimes it takes its time.
The title suggests a gentle, emotional romance — the kind that might not shout for attention but slowly gets under your skin. I’m adding it to the list for a quieter night when I want feelings, not chaos.
Although, knowing romance titles, there may still be chaos. They just might whisper it.
72 Hours — July
On July 24, we get 72 Hours, a comedy starring Kevin Hart. The film is directed by Tim Story and has been listed as a Netflix release for July 24, 2026.
The setup already sounds like trouble in the best way. Kevin Hart plus a limited time frame usually means panic, bad decisions, fast dialogue, and at least one situation that could have been avoided if people simply stayed home.
This is the film I’d save for when I want something funny and unserious. Not every watch has to be deep. Sometimes you just need a comedy that lets you eat snacks in peace and laugh at other people’s terrible choices.
Forbidden Woman — July 29
Coming on July 29, Forbidden Woman sounds dramatic before you even know the plot.
The title alone is doing a lot of work. Forbidden love? Forbidden ambition? A woman breaking rules that were never fair in the first place? Whatever direction it takes, I am interested.
This feels like the kind of title that could lean into romance, scandal, betrayal, or a woman refusing to be contained. And because this is Adore Women, we will always make time for a story about a woman who becomes inconvenient to the people trying to control her.
Final Project — July 29
Also arriving on July 29 is Final Project, another late-month title that sounds like it could go dark quickly.
Netflix roundups include Final Project in the July 2026 slate, and it sounds like one for viewers who enjoy suspense, school drama, secrets, online pressure, or social tension. (Vogue)
A title like Final Project could mean anything: a class assignment gone wrong, a student mystery, a dangerous challenge, or a story where one decision spirals into something bigger. Either way, I’m curious.
This one is going on the watchlist for thriller night.
Ladies in Black — July 31
Closing the month on July 31 is Ladies in Black.
Tell me that title does not immediately make you curious.
It sounds stylish. It sounds mysterious. It sounds like women with secrets, sharp outfits, and possibly a plan nobody else sees coming. Whether it turns out to be drama, mystery, comedy, or something darker, it feels like a strong end-of-month watch.
There is something about a title centred on women and secrecy that always pulls me in. Add black outfits and I am already halfway convinced.
So, What Am I Watching First?
My first pick is obviously Enola Holmes 3, because it is already streaming and Enola is always a good time.
After that, I’m going for Death on the Nile when I want mystery, Love You So Bad when I want romance with poor decision-making, The Map of Longing when I want to feel things, and Spooky in Love when I want romance with supernatural nonsense.
For the second half of the month, Ransom Canyon Season 2 is the binge. 72 Hours is the comedy break. Final Project is the thriller pick. Ladies in Black is the stylish wildcard.
July 2026 on Netflix is giving mystery, romance, comedy, suspense, and drama in very generous portions. Basically, my watchlist is full, my sleep schedule is in danger, and Netflix once again has me exactly where it wants me.
