Gyakie, also known as Song Bird, is a Ghanaian afro-beat singer-songwriter who is all set for her upcoming tour in the United Kingdom and France. Starting on May 18 at Gorilla, Manchester, Gyakie will be performing at Lafayette on May 19, at the Institute of Birmingham on May 20, and finally at Les Etoiles, Paris on May 26. I can feel her excitement for this tour oozing through my screen!
If that wasn’t enough, Gyakie will also be performing at the Afro-Nation Miami 2023 in LoanDepot Park, Miami alongside the likes of Burna Boy, Beenie Man, CKay, Rema, Asake, and Black Sherif, among others. I bet she’s feeling ecstatic to be performing at such a grand event!
Gyakie rose to fame in 2020 with her song “Forever” from her EP “Seed,” which topped the charts in Ghana and Nigeria. Her unique blend of Afro-beats, R&B, and Pop has been pushing the Ghanaian music industry to new heights. It’s amazing to see a young artist like her making such waves in the music scene!
Let’s not forget to give credit where it’s due. Gyakie’s father, Ernest “Owoahene” Nana Acheampong, was also a great highlife singer. It’s wonderful to see such musical talent run in the family.
Gyakie has released two EPs titled “Seed (2020)” and “My Diary (2022),” and collaborated with notable musical acts such as Omah Lay, Davido, R2Bees, Diplo, D-Black, and Bisa Kdei. She has also worked with record labels such as Flip the Music, RCA Records, and Sony Music. It’s truly inspiring to see her rise to success with such hard work and dedication.
I can only imagine the excitement of attending one of her concerts, with her catchy melodies, untrimmed tempo, and energetic live performances. Her fans are in for a treat!
Gyakie’s upcoming tour, powered by LiveNation, Flip the Music, and Smade, is a testament to her rising stardom and musical prowess. As she performs in the UK and France, fans can anticipate an unforgettable experience. I’m sure she’ll leave a lasting impression on all those who attend.
