Lauren Sánchez’s Wedding Dress by Dolce & Gabbana: A Couture Love Story in Style and Elegance

When Lauren Sánchez said “I do” to Jeff Bezos in a lavish Venetian ceremony, her fashion choices instantly became the focal point of global attention. Amid a guest list that included Kim Kardashian, Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, and other A-listers, it was Sánchez’s stunning couture wardrobe that stole the show. From a timeless Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda wedding gown to multiple dazzling evening looks, her style told a story of elegance, romance, and cinematic grandeur over the course of an unforgettable three-day celebration.

The Ceremony Dress: An Ode to Italian Cinema

Sánchez’s wedding gown was a couture marvel crafted by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana under their prestigious Alta Moda label. Handmade in Milan over the course of 900 hours, the dress featured a mermaid silhouette with delicate, hand-applied Italian lace, a high corseted neckline, sheer long sleeves, and a sweeping train adorned with 180 silk chiffon-covered buttons from neck to hem.

The inspiration? Sophia Loren’s iconic bridal look in the 1958 film Houseboat. Ever the embodiment of modern elegance, Sánchez chose a design that honored classic Italian cinema while embracing contemporary sophistication.

Reception and Evening Looks: Romance, Reinvented

For the evening reception, Sánchez changed into another Dolce & Gabbana creation—this time channeling Rita Hayworth’s smoldering allure from Gilda (1946). The gown featured a sweetheart neckline and structured corset, combining old-Hollywood glamour with modern bridal flair.

Later, for the cocktail celebration, Sánchez turned up the sparkle in a shimmering Oscar de la Renta mini dress. Embellished with over 175,000 crystals and more than 600 yards of hand-sewn chain detailing, the dress was a radiant expression of modern luxury—perfect for a night of dancing and celebration.

The Grand Finale: “Dolce Notte” in Versace

To close out the festivities, Sánchez and Bezos hosted a pajama-themed party dubbed “Dolce Notte”—a whimsical twist that invited guests to revel in luxe loungewear.

Sánchez chose a custom Atelier Versace gown for the occasion, crafted from rose-pink silk chiffon and embroidered with rose-gold and bronze Swarovski crystals. Taking more than 350 hours to complete, the hand-pleated gown was ethereal yet opulent, mirroring the romantic magic of the Venetian night sky filled with fireworks.
