Lagos Fashion Week 2025: In Full Bloom at 15

Heineken Lagos Fashion Week marks a powerful milestone as it celebrates 15 years of shaping the story of African style. The 2025 edition, themed “In Full Bloom,” honors the platform’s journey of creativity, community, and sustainability.

Founded by Omoyemi Akerele through Style House Files, Lagos Fashion Week has evolved from a local showcase into one of Africa’s most influential fashion platforms. It connects designers, artisans, and global audiences while highlighting the richness of African craftsmanship.

A Celebration of Growth and Purpose

From October 29 to November 2, 2025, Lagos Fashion Week will present runway shows, exhibitions, and industry talks on the future of African fashion.

The theme In Full Bloom represents reflection, renewal, and growth. It celebrates the designers who have shaped the platform and those pushing boundaries in contemporary design.

“At fifteen, Lagos Fashion Week stands as a symbol of creativity and community,” said the organizers. “We’re proud of how far we’ve come and committed to building a more sustainable and inclusive future.”

Sustainability and Circular Design

Sustainability continues to drive the Lagos Fashion Week mission. Initiatives such as Green Access, Woven Threads, and XRetail encourage responsible production and circular design practices.

The Green Access 2025 program challenges emerging designers to transform textile waste into new creations using African craftsmanship. Collaborating with hubs like The N.A.House and Guzangs, this initiative showcases Africa’s leadership in sustainable fashion and innovation.
